Benefits of creating an account include:

• The ability to choose the username you want, to keep track of your edits and contributions.
• You can create your own user page to introduce yourself to other members of the community (just click on your username at the top right of any page to access your user page).
• You can send and receive email using the internal messaging system, so you don't have to disclose your personal email to any other user. Note that providing your email address when creating your account does not reveal it to anyone, but is highly recommended, to be able to recover your account should you forget your password.
• You can customise how the site displays things for you.
• You avoid the captchas when editing pages and lessons.

Future benefits

• We are working on an improved version of the site, where you will be able to customise the site according to your preferences, thereby helping you to access the info that is relevant to you more efficiently, for instance, by showing only pages in languages you are interested in, with an interface in the language you want.
• We may include a hall of fame, listing the most active users.
